Manifold & Phalor

Maintenance and Repair

With Manifold & Phalor, Inc’s resources for the design and construction of new equipment, repair of existing equipment is a natural extension of our business.  Our technical resources allow us to repair customer’s equipment to meet or exceed OEM’s specifications.  The large equipment resources and skilled workforce required to build machinery also are very effective at repairing machinery.  Following are just a few examples of repair work that can be seen on our floor at any time:

Construction equipment sees some of the most severe operating conditions.  Fractured mounting points, worn pivot joints and damaged bearing surfaces are typical repairs.

Large industrial machinery repairs

Large industrial machinery repairs are also typical jobs that show up on a regular basis.  Many times original equipment manufacturers no longer exist or can not provide the turn around required to get a manufacturer back up and running.

brand new cast iron bull gear

Shown here is a brand new cast iron bull gear that did not have the correct bore to fit the existing shaft.  The bore was welded up and bored out to match the shaft to allow a press rebuild to continue so the customers production line could restart

gear king

This complex stainless steel chemical pump housing is both an expensive and long lead-time item.  We were able to remachine the entire endhousing to OEM specs for less than 20% of the cost or a new part.

Awkward parts

Awkward parts like this crane hook forging are also typical items that are machined on a daily basis.

Repairing the grooves of a large cable drum is another example of work we perform.

The creative talents necessary for the design and construction of new machinery are very useful for the repair of existing machinery.  Often times the design requirements of a part need to be reverse engineered from the performance specifications of the machine due to the lack of information from the OEM.
